Find me on:

food-pizza-kitchen-recipe.jpgWhen you think of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, you might think of long drives, your grandmother, or biscuits. Cracker Barrel is off almost all exits in the south. Going on a long trip? Chances are you have seen multiple signs for Cracker Barrel.

I love Cracker Barrel. It hits the spot when I'm starving. It's fast. If there is a long wait, that's typically not true, and you'll get a table in no time. Fried okra and biscuits.

I remember going to Cracker Barrel back in the day with my grandmother, one of her favorite places to eat. Not only does Cracker Barrel serve up delish breakfast (and lunch) food, it also has an "old timey" store that I oh so love. Cracker Barrel has a really cool "vintage" section of candy, and I always stock up when I'm there.

So why should you go to Cracker Barrel? Here's a list of reasons:

1. Rocking Chairs and shoppingrocking-chair-2683875_1920.jpg

No need to stand in front of the host stand and wait for what *feels* like 4 days, while your stomach grumbles and secretly being jealous of everyone and anyone who gets a table before you. You can browse the store (refer to my previous recommendation of "vintage" candy options) or chillax on the porch in one of their signature rocking chairs and rock your troubles away. No need to worry, they have loud speakers to let you know when your table is ready.

2. Breakfast all dayall-day-608802_1920.jpg

Most people love breakfast food. But if you're anything like me, you prefer your breakfast at night. NOT A PROBLEM. Enjoy yourself some pancakes, bacon and eggs "all night long....oh yeah....all night long".  Note: not Instagram worthy plates of food, but who cares when it tastes so good!

3. Coffeestill-life-2366084_1920.jpg

I've noticed they basically have someone walking around with coffee. That's their job, to make sure the hangry people don't run out of coffee. No coffee+hangry=MISTAKE.

4. Fried Okraokra-2671535_1920.jpg

I can't write about Cracker Barrel without giving a shout out to the fried okra. Try it. Yuuummmmmm.

5. Picking a restaurant can be hazardous to your relationshipssilhouette-2480321_1280.png

Do you spend most of your relationship with your significant other arguing over where to eat? Or maybe you're living the fab single life, but have very indecisive roomies. Just go to Cracker Barrel.
